Heading over to Woodleigh Village Hawker Centre for a bite with young kids? They will certainly want to pay a visit to the bright yellow Woodleigh Village Playground along the Heritage Walk. But did you know there is another playground at the rooftop too?
Woodleigh Village Hawker Centre Playground: The Yellow Curl Snaking Around the Trees
Found between Woodleigh Village Hawker Centre and Woodleigh Mall, the first of the Woodleigh Village playgrounds is a long play structure that curls around some old mature trees.
This is located at a level below the hawker centre stalls.

Kids can enter the playground via a netted ramp on one end. The wavy playground ascends upwards, elevating kids above the ground.
Winding its way around the play area, the yellow play structure leads kids to a green and brown enclosed slide at the other end. It feels a bit like an alternative take of snakes and ladders.
For kids who don’t wish to climb into the yellow Woodleigh Village Hawker Centre playground structure, there are other play elements slung underneath. A netted, triangular platform connects to a low walking rope where kids can put their balance to the test.
Circular discs are also suspended beneath the main playground structure.
Around the soft padded play area, there are also tetter-totters, a mini merry-go-round and spring see-saws.
It is a great way for a little fun while out and about.
The playground also respects the environment by being built around the mature tree that stands in the middle of its curl. Kids can get a view of the tree as they climb up along the passageway.
Our only wish was that there were more seats around the playground for parents and caregivers.
Rooftop Woodleigh Village Playground
On the rooftop above the Woodleigh Village Hawker Centre, you will find another playground for kids. This is less well known because it is not as visible for those who are casually passing by.
Here at this rooftop Woodleigh Village playground, the play area is enclosed within a fence.
One section features a series of mounds where there are low hammocks and slides for young kids to enjoy. There are even hand and footholds that they can use to climb up one of the mounds.
It is a fun landscape that they can enjoy as they explore and play.
At the other end of the playground is a play orb. Kids can climb inside the spherical play structure where nets and a slide await.
There is also a larger mound where there is a slide for kids to enjoy some swooshing fun or climb through.
A blue suspended seat provides more twirling fun.
This Woodleigh Village rooftop playground can be found in front of Block 201C.
From the Woodleigh Village Hawker Centre, you can head towards the car park at the back and take the lift up to Level 3 where the rooftop garden is located. That is where you will be able to make your way to this rooftop Woodleigh Village playground.
