All aboard! Young fans of Thomas the Tank Engine can spend a day out riding along with the blue locomotive in Japan.
In the Shizuoka Prefecture of Japan, the Oigawa Railway company has restarted its Day Out with Thomas the Tank Engine rides on 26 June 2020. This was suspended from its original start date in May because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Spending a Day Out with Thomas the Tank Engine in Japan
Tickets for the Thomas the Tank Engine rides are only on sale for the Japanese domestic market. The rides will run till 19 October 2020. Most of the tickets have already been sold out and balloting is required for the remaining few.
In addition to riding with Thomas the Tank Engine, the event also features other locomotives, Hiro and Percy, at a Thomas Fair. The two are stationed at the Senzu Station for photo taking.

There is also a Maintenance Factory where kids can learn more about how locomotives are cared for.
