Disney+ is set to launch in Singapore on 23 February 2021 and, when it does, the streaming service will also be available over StarHub’s TV, mobile and broadband services, announced StarHub in a press release dated 7 January 2021.

Disney+, the long-awaited Disney streaming service, will encompass six of Disney’s content brands. These are Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star.

When Disney+ becomes available in Singapore, subscribers will be able to watch original series such as The Mandalorian, WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Solider. Other shows like Marvel’s The Avengers and Frozen will also be on Disney+. In total, there will be more than 500 movies and 15,000 episodes available for viewing.

In the press release, StarHub shared that it has signed an exclusive agreement with The Walt Disney Company to become the official telco partner of Disney+ in Singapore.

Under the agreement inked between StarHub and The Walt Disney Company, existing and new StarHub customers will be able to enjoy Disney+ with selected StarHub TV+, Fibre Broadband and Mobile+ plans.

Disney+ will be the eighth streaming platform fully integrated within StarHub TV+.

“We are excited to be the first and only fully-integrated quad-play service provider to raise the entertainment bar for our customers with Disney+, home to some of the most recognisable cultural brands in the world today,” said Johan Buse, Chief of Consumer Business Group, StarHub. “Adding Disney+ to our ever-expanding catalogue of apps and streaming services is an integral part of our TV and digital transformation journey for customers.”

Currently, no pricing or bundle details are available for the Disney+ service over StarHub. Instead, interested parties can register their interest on the StarHub website to get updates once available.

The Disney+ service in Singapore, direct from Disney, will be available at $11.98 a month or $119.98 a year. Those who are interested can also register their interest at the Disney+ Singapore website here.
