As National Day 2022 approaches, more organisations are putting up their decorations up and getting into the celebratory spirit. Over in Simei, one organisation helping to spread the National Day cheer to the community is St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital and Singapore Anglican Community Services.

With the trees in front of St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital and Singapore Anglican Community Services decked out with red fairy lights, it almost feels like Christmas season. These are complemented by white fairy lights adorning the low hedges surrounding the property.

These red and white lights remind us to keep our spirits up and echo this year’s National Day theme, “Stronger Together, Majulah!”. They are also a reminder of the resilience of the healthcare workers who served within the Community Hospital and the sacrifices they have made during the pandemic.

A series of Singapore flags fluttering in the breeze complete the National Day display.

The light-up was launched on 13 July 2022 by Ms Jessica Tan, Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Adviser to East Coast GRC Grassroots Organisations. It will run till 31 August 2022.

The lights come on at 6 pm each evening. Those living around the area can pop down to take a picture at the National Day light up display.

Thank you, St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital and Singapore Anglican Community Services, for helping to spread the National Day cheer to the Simei community!
