The Singapore River Festival 2026 is back from 11 to 20 September, bringing along with it bridge light ups, themed events and performances that will entertain all. Organised by Singapore River One, it celebrates the people, places, and stories that have shaped the Singapore River.

The River Echo Chambers
11 to 13 September 2026, 7.30 pm to 10.30 pm, Kinrara Lane
Journey through the past, present, and future of the Singapore River in this captivating 8-minute projection show across the heritage shophouse facades of Boat Quay. Featuring cinematic visuals and an original soundtrack, the experience reimagines the river’s evolving story through three immersive portals.

The River Rhapsody By Cinewav
11 to 20 September 2026, 7.30 pm to 10.30 pm, Read Bridge
The interactive light experience at Read Bridge will delight festival goers as light, colour, and music respond to every movement.
Shape the bridge’s lighting with a simple gesture or influence the live soundtrack through motion, while a virtual DJ projected onto the trees transforms Read Bridge into an immersive dance floor.
The River Rhythm
11 September 8 pm to 10 pm & 12 September 7.30 pm to 10 pm, Fountain Square at CQ @ Clarke Quay
Experience a vibrant showcase of acrobatics, circus arts, street theatre, juggling, interactive performances, and energetic dance acts. From gravity-defying feats to playful audience interactions, each performance celebrates creativity, movement, and artistic expression in unexpected ways.
The River Emergence
11 & 12 September, 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm, UOB Plaza Atrium
Enjoy an evening of live music featuring Ann Siang Sounds, Leandra Lane, and Omar Kenobi. Between performances, local artists will lead interactive sing-along sessions, inviting audiences to join in, sing along, and experience the joy of music bringing people together.
Roving Performances on Boat & Land by SMU Samba Masala
11 & 12 September 2026, 8 pm to 8.30 pm (Boat), 9 pm to 9.30 pm (Land)
Boat and Land route: Clarke Quay Central to UOB Plaza
SMU Samba Masala brings the Singapore River to life with a vibrant musical procession across the water, before taking the celebration ashore with an energetic roving performance. Featuring powerful percussion, infectious rhythms, and dynamic choreography, the performance promises a lively spectacle that will immerse audiences in the festival atmosphere.
Riverside Cinema
19 September, 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm, Outside STPI at Robertson Quay
Enjoy a family-friendly outdoor screening of How to Train Your Dragon (2025) under the stars. Tune in via the Cinewav app using your own headphones or borrow a set onsite, then sit back and enjoy the film from the provided seating or your own picnic mat for a cosy evening outdoors.
MONOPOLY: HIDDEN Singapore (Singapore River Edition)

Whispers of the Twin Quays
12 September, 4 pm to 5.30 pm, WaterB Fort Canning Kiosk (next to Tan Tye Place)

Whispers of the Twin Quays is a curated boat ride and guided heritage walk led by Yong from The Urbanist Singapore. Journey through Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay to uncover the Singapore River’s rich trading past, hidden stories, and urban transformation, with exclusive access to the conserved Jiak Kim Street godowns — spaces rarely open to the public.
Combining river, architecture, and heritage, the experience offers a deeper appreciation of the stories and planning that shaped the precinct we know today.
