Earlier this year, Singapore Gymnastics got 2024 off to a rolling start with its Cartwheel-a-thon that was held on 13 January.
The event aimed to raise funds and targeted setting new record for the Singapore Book of Records for the most number of cartwheels performed in a two-hour period.
Singapore Gymnastics had set a target of 25,000 cartwheels to be performed during the Cartwheel-a-thon.
These efforts took place at nine locations around Singapore: One Holland Village, i12 Katong, Bishan Sports Centre and five gymnastics clubs BazGym, GimSports, Prime Gym, SWAGA and The Yard.

Help Raise Funds for Singapore Gymnastics & Beyond Social Services
The fun Cartwheel-a-thon was held to raise funds for two good causes – developing Singapore Gymnastics’ High Performance Infrastructure and to support the work of charity Beyond Social Services.
Singapore Gymnastics is the National Sports Association for gymnastics. You would have seen our national gymnasts doing Singapore proud on the international stage at the SEA Games 2023, Asian Games in Hangzhou in October 2023 and World Artistic Gymnastics Championship 2023 in Belgium.
The funds raised will go towards gym equipment and programmes and nurturing the next generation of Singapore gymnasts.
Beyond Social Services is a a charity dedicated to helping children and youths from less privileged backgrounds break away from the poverty cycle.
Beyond Social Services provides guidance, care and resources that enable families and communities to keep their young people in school and out of trouble.
