The Red-X Games presents The Family Challenge 2017 at the Padang. Till 8 August 2017, everyone can have a go at an obstacle course that come in two varieties – the standard version and with child-friendly modifications.
Obstacle Course at the Padang
In the ‘Own Time Own Target’ mode, tackle the obstacle course at your own pace. For those who are game enough for a challenge, there is also a ‘Competitive’ mode that is open to families and individuals.
In commemoration of NS50, all obstacles are specially created to mimic the training that soldiers undergo in the army. Thankfully, these obstacles have been modified to be more family-friendly, plus there is no need to lug around a rifle as you power through the stations.
Participants can tackle obstacles like the low wall, monkey bars, farmer’s walk, tyre flip, ball throw, low rope and rope ladder.
The Red-X Games are supported by the Active Enabler programme and is part of the Get Active! Singapore week being held in conjunction with the National Day celebrations. It is organised by Superfit, an organisation founded by former SAF regulars.
Pre-registration for the obstacle course is required at Red X Booth. It is free in casual mode and $20 for the competitive mode.
