Qixi Fest 2026 is back with its fourth edition. This year, the celebration of the Qixi Festival in Singapore will take place over two weekends from 15 to 23 August 2026 at the Qixi Fest Village, Kreta Ayer Square, with the theme Crafting Flavours That Inspire.
Qixi Festival: Legend of The Weaver Girl and the Cowherd

The Qixi Festival or 七夕节 is based on the legend of the Weaver Girl and the Cowherd. It is a celebration of the love story of two star-crossed lovers – the Cowherd (Niu Lang) and Weaver Girl (Zhi Nu), and also explains how two stars in the sky – Altair and Vega – came to be.
The festival also celebrates craftsmanship and artistry as it is believed that wishes made upon the stars are more likely to come true when one demonstrates skillfulness through the arts and handicrafts.
