Nisses and Poinsettias
Poinsettia Wishes 2023 once again captures the magic of Christmas at the Gardens by the Bay Flower Dome.
All around, there are Nisses. These little creatures look like a hybrid between a garden gnome and Santa Claus. And for Poinsettia Wishes 2023, they are decked out in traditional Viking garb.
You can view them enjoying a Viking feast.
They can be found in front of rorbuer or picturesque red and white fishermen’s cabins that are iconic of the Nordic region’s nautical history.
There are displays that provide information about who the Vikings were.
The main display at the Flower Field showcases the miniature warriors in a landscape inspired by the dreamy fishing villages found along the coastlines of Nordic countries.
While it is easy to get enchanted by the Nisses, don’t forget to admire the display of over 20 varieties of poinsettias, including unusual ones that are bright yellow, have a plum tint, or rounded, resembling mouse ears.
The Nisses are not the only magical creatures at Poinsettia Wishes 2023. You can admire a mischief of Christmas trolls too.
For a sweet ending to your visit, take a walk through a forest of candy canes.
