During the 2018 year-end holiday period, penguins will take centre stage at the Jurong Bird Park with opportunities for visitors to learn more about these black-and-white aquatic birds.
Visitors to the Jurong Bird Park in November and December 2018 will be able to meet the these tuxedoed birds and participate in activities over the weekends and discover more about them.
Here are some of the activities that will be taking place at Jurong Bird Park on the weekends from 17 November to 30 December 2018, and on Christmas Day, 25 December 2018, unless stated.
Year-end Holiday Activities at Jurong Bird Park
Discover Our True Colours
Participate in various games on the weekends, 10 am to 4 pm, at Jurong Bird Park to learn about penguins. Complete the game and receive a penguin collectible pin, while stocks last.
Penguin Encounter
Get to know the Park’s African Penguins better as they waddle around their enclosure and their keepers share about their interesting quirks at the Penguin Coast. The Penguin Encounter will take place at 10.30 am and 3.30 pm.
Mascot Meet and Greet
Get to meet mascots at the Penguin Coast, Jurong Bird Park at 11.45 am and 2.30 pm.
Movie Screening
On 22 December 2018, enjoy a big screen movie at the Pools Amphitheatre in the evening from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm. The movie? Happy Feet, of course!
Sleep with the Penguins Family Camp
To get a closer look at the black-and-white birds, join the Sleep with the Penguins Family Camp. Activities that will take place during the camp include a guided tour and close encounter experience. Additional fees apply.
Sweet Treats
Visitors can also look out for special Christmas menu items at the Hawk Café between 17 November to 30 December 2018.
Ways to Save
Local residents will be able to enjoy up to 15 per cent savings on Jurong Bird Park admission tickets booked online.
Visitors can also sign up for a one-year Friend of Bird Park membership at the price of a one-day full priced ticket.
