Parc Residences @ Tengah has a number of playgrounds: these include a caterpillar themed play space on the ground level, and a butterfly themed one at the rooftop garden. However, most unique of all is the Parc Residences @ Tengah netted playground, which makes use of the void of a void deck to create an interesting play space that we haven’t come across before in an HDB estate.

Nets have been installed to create an elevated net playground for kids. This stretches out between the pillars of the building, raised over a padded flooring.

To reach the netted area, kids can climb up through two access ways on either side of the netted playground.

Netted ramp

One of the access points comes in the form of a netted ramp that stretches up from the floor.

The second access point features a series of rubber steps that rise upwards.

vertical tunnel

A third way to reach the netted area on top comes of a vertical tunnel that kids can climb.

All three of the accessways lead to a long netted play space, elevated off the ground. It offers a sense of adventure as kids explore and walk along the nets.

For the most part, the elevated net is sheltered from the elements, save for one end where two air wells open up to the sky above.

At the other end, the nets end off behind two pillars, creating a cosy, secret hiding spot for kids to hang out.

Spheres that double up as seats

Around the playground, there are orbs that double up as seats for those who may be keeping an eye on the kids, or perhaps waiting the preschools near by to be dismissed.

This elevated net playground at Parc Residences @ Tengah is one of the most innovative and interesting uses of space that we have come across. It is the work of playground company CT-Art Creation

It is a great sheltered playground spot for kids to have some fun in all sorts of weather – whether the sun is too hot or it is pouring outside.

Caterpillar and Butterfly Playgrounds

Caterpillar Playground

Kids looking for more fun can also head to Parc Residences @ Tengah’s two other playgrounds.

There is a playground that features a caterpillar sculpture with a play mound that kids can climb and slide down from. There is also a round-about that kids can spin on too!

Or head up to the rooftop garden on top of the multi-storey car park and you will find another playground where butterfly sculpture waits in front of a play space for toddlers.
