The one-north Park Nature Playgarden is such a well-kept secret that it isn’t even listed on NParks’ list of playgardens in Singapore. While it isn’t as large as some other play spots, it is packed with interesting and unusual ways which kids can engage with nature.
Tucked away amongst the buildings full of hi-tech companies, the one-north Park Nature Playgarden has a number of different features from other playgardens.
Exploring one-north Park Nature Playgarden
To enter the playgarden at one-north Park, while you can take the regular path, there is also a Rock Scramble which kids can use. The scramble is made from a set of boulders which lead up and into the alcove where the one-north Park Nature Playgarden can be found.
Once within the hedges of the playgarden, kids can go from play element to play element and enjoy some simple fun with nature.
Fun Play Elements
There is a Wall Rope Climb which challenges kids’ dexterity.
There is also a little wobble bridge for kids to practise their balance on.
Another interesting feature at the one-north Park Nature Playgarden is a Sensory Walk. Children can take off their shoes and go barefoot to feel the different textured tiles on the ground.
Nearby is a Stone Spiral Maze.
When they need some solitude, or just a place to hide, there are three Nomad’s tents, kid-sized structures covered with vegetation.
Play with Nature
More regular play equipment at the playgarden include a Climb & Slide, Log See-Saw and Balancing Beams.
There’s a mini log scramble too.
Musical elements have also been incorporated into the one-north Park Nature Playgarden in the form of chimes.
Visiting one-north Park Nature Playgarden
The one-north Park Nature Playgarden is nice hidden play spot at a corner of the park which may would otherwise not explore. It is also not far from the Butterfly Walk where kids can try to catch a glimpse of fluttering beauties.
one-north Park Nature Playgarden is located at the junction of Central Exchange Green and One-North Link.
