My Community Festival is back from 4 to 20 August 2023, offering a chance to get a grassroots-level look at Singapore’s neighbourhoods and the activities that make the community tick. 


My Community Festival 2023

There are a plethora of tours, talks, workshops and activities packed into My Community Festival, including free trails and experiences that just cost a nominal fee. 

This year, Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Former Senior Minister will be officiating the festivities on Saturday, 5 August 2023.

This year, My Community Festival shines the spotlight on neighbourhood champions who keep the community going with their neighbourly spirit.

Enter into the world of the people behind a community library, those who run a boatel at Changi Village for fishermen, the women that operate the Blessing Booth in Marsiling and others.

Decorate My Hood

Have your ever come across decorations in your neighbourhood during festive occasions? This may be the work of passionate neighbours who wish to beautify the neighbourhood. 

Get to meet these neighbour champions at Bukit Batok, Bedok Reservoir, Dover and other neighbourhoods. 

My Prayers and Practices

Join a tour to visit the places of worship of major religions in Singapore to learn about their cultures and practices. Join the practitioners of the Jain and Baha’i faiths as they explain their beliefs, or understand why the Russian Orthodox Church celebrates Christmas in January.

What’s for My Dinner

Go on a gastronomic journey as neighbours whip up their specialties and invite guests into their homes to try them out. Connect with others over food and get a taste of different cultures.

Take a trip across the causeway and get to meet the farmers who supply food to Singapore. The tours that have been planned include visits to banana plantations, prawn farms and even durian farms.

Festival Village: My Chinatown Festival
