Kids get to ‘Move It, Move It’ at Madagascar Live! theatrical show.

Based on the hit Dreamworks animation show, Madagascar Live! brings the story on to the MasterCard Theatres stage from 21 to 24 April 2016.

All of the favourite characters from the movie are here – including the feisty, little old lady with the handbag.

The live show does not deviate much from the blockbuster animation’s plot. Starting from the Central Park Zoo, the audience goes along for a wild ride with Alex the lion, Melman the giraffe, Marty the zebra and Gloria the hippo. Played by actors in costume, the gang of four escape the zoo into the Big Apple. Consequently, they get crated up and shipped off for resettlement.

Also on the boat is the intrepid penguin squad. Always wrangling up a plan, the penguins’ shenanigans land the boatload of animals in Madagascar and into the crazy kingdom of King Julien.

Madagascar Live! is filled with numerous set changes and song-and-dance numbers. But the song everyone is waiting for is ‘I Like to Move It, Move It’. After a short teaser before the intermission, the mega-hit comes back at the end of the show, getting little kids in the audience bouncing around.

Ardent fans of the animated original and young audiences can catch Madagascar Live! at MasterCard Theatres, Marina Bay Sands from now till 24 April.
