Assembling and racing Tamiya cars used to be a thing of our childhood. Now we can share this hobby with our children at MF11 Mini 4WD Woodlands Tamiya Store, a 24/7 store in Woodlands!

We visited this hidden spot in the north, near Admiralty to check out where the otakus are hanging out.

Several decades ago, Tamiya cars used to be sold in departmental stores and malls had Tamiya race tournaments. Hands up if you were there racing your hearts out!

MF11 Mini 4WD opened its doors in October 2022. It lets customers build their own Tamiya cars and test them or race them on the racetracks.

It is a neat hangout for Tamiya fans.

This store is never closed, allowing night owls to bond over their cars through the night and even public holidays!

It retails a large collection of Tamiya cars, trucks and even custom-built models for a couple of hundred dollars.

The race is on every Sunday, rain or shine. Enthusiasts gather to get their cars zooming, flying, making loops in the 5 to 6 tracks set up. There are tracks for pros as well as one just for the children.

Besides racing, you can check out the hobbyists race and assemble their cars. We saw cars flying off the tracks and speeding through circuits while we were there.

It was a joy to watch and possibly more enjoyment building your own from scratch.
