Last year, IKEA unveiled its collaboration with LEGO, BYGGLEK, the storage boxes specially designed to store the popular construction bricks. Good news! BYGGLEK will soon be available in Singapore, in IKEA stores from 18 February and online from 25 February 2021.
BYGGLEK: IKEA-LEGO Collaboration on LEGO Storage
BYGGLEK is Swedish for ‘build, play’. This storage solution from IKEA is designed to make organising part of play. Kids can use their imagination to build LEGO masterpieces both inside, outside or around storage box as they have been designed with studs. These allow LEGO bricks to be attached to the box.
When it is time to put away the toys, the LEGO bricks can be kept away in the BYGGLEK storage box, or even displayed on it.

The BYGGLEK storage boxes are the creation of Andreas Fredriksson, designer at IKEA, and Rasmus Buch Løgstrup, designer at the LEGO Group. Said Andres, “In the work with BYGGLEK, we talked about how you can play and pause without scattering your project all over the floor.”
Buying IKEA BYGGLEK in Singapore
Several versions of BYGGLEK will be available and, in Singapore, collection prices start from $19.90.
For those who want to help their kids get started, there is a BYGGLEK 201-piece LEGO brick set that will be exclusive to IKEA stores. This set includes play starters like food items and mini figurines. Children can even use it to create their own IKEA store in miniature too!
Launch Promo: Gift-with-Purchase
To mark the launch of BYGGLEK in Singapore, there will be a special gift-with-purchase promotion. Spend a minimum of $50 in store on BYGGLEK to redeem a free 30359 LEGO CITY Police Water Plane! This is limited to the first 200 customers per IKEA store only.
Only one redemption is allowed per customer per receipt. This gift-with-purchase is valid for same-day redemption on BYGGLEK purchases only, on a first-come-first-serve basis, while stocks last.
