Holiday Inn Atrium’s Fam-tastic Staycation package offers families looking for a break from the normal routine with a family-oriented weekend stay. The staycation package at the Havelock Road hotel is available for check-in on Friday or Saturdays only. We checked-in on a Saturday to experience it ourselves.
Holiday Inn Atrium is located at the crossroads of various districts. To one side is Tiong Bahru with its eclectic mix of hipster cafes and traditional food favourites. Down Zion Road is Orchard Road and in the other direction is the CBD.
Arrival Experience
The staff at the check-in counter was very welcoming. After checking-in, we rode the glass bubble lifts to the room and got a nice view of the atrium below.
The room at Holiday Inn Atrium’s was bright and cheery. Even though the building is an older one, the room looked clean and updated. The view of the city out of the windows was especially nice.

As part of Holiday Inn Atrium’s Fam-tastic Staycation, kids receive a welcome pack that includes a colouring book and pencils. In-room amenities for kids include as bathroom slippers and furry animal bathrobes.
Activities
Between 4 pm to 5 pm, kids get to participate in kid-friendly activities conducted by friendly hotel staff. These include activities such as finger puppet making, Play-Doh sculpting and watercolour painting.
During our stay, the activity of the day was cookie decorating.
In the evening, a poolside movie screening with complimentary popcorn and drinks takes place from 8 pm onwards (subject to weather conditions).
The hotel’s 6th floor swimming pools include a main pool and a wading pool. Take note that the main pool’s depth quickly slopes to 2 metres from mid-way down its length.
Holiday Inn Atrium’s Fam-tastic Staycation Package includes a voucher that allows kids to enjoy 30-minutes of free play at the Waka Waka indoor playground across the street at Annex @ Furama.
Waka Waka by The Polliwogs is a jungle-themed indoor playground with unique challenges, including a “volcano” that kids can climb. Read more about Waka Waka here.
The package is inclusive of buffet breakfast for two adults and two children aged 12 years old and under at the Atrium Restaurant.
