This week, 1 to 7 December 2019, is Giving Week 2019. It is seven days earmarked to support the vision of Singapore as a city where individuals, organisations and leaders act to create a City of Good. Under the auspices of the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre, Giving Week 2019 celebrates the spirit of giving and seeks to make it part of our way of life.

Here are five simple ways that you can get involved in Giving Week 2019.

Help to fulfil the Christmas wishes written by children from TOUCH Young Arrows at d’Good Café’s Christmas trees. You buy a gift for a child that is within $30 and drop the wrapped gift back to the Holland Village cafe to help spread the joy this December 2019.

Carousell

CarousellCarousell can sometimes be filled with people constantly trying to get a (ridiculous) bargain. However, in support of Giving Week, it is running a “Say yes to #Blessings” campaign, listing out what various charities are looking for in terms of donations. Instead of trying to sell and think about a bargain, how about giving instead? Items can be sent directly to the charities’ locations.

Pet Lovers Centre

Help to provide premium pet food to animal shelters by purchasing items as part of Pet Lovers Centre’s 12 Annual Pet Food Drive and donating them to Action for Singapore Dogs, Cat Welfare Society and Noah’s Ark CARES.
