Feel the earth shake beneath your feet, evacuate a casualty and meet the people who help make Singapore a more resilient place at the S’pore Discovery Centre.

In conjunction with Total Defence Day, commemorated on 15 February annually, S’pore Discovery Centre is hosting a special exhibition, Together We Keep Singapore Strong, and a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) Showcase.

SCDF Showcase and Vehicular Display

On 11 to 12 February, and 15 to 19 February 2016, the SCDF Showcase and Vehicular Display can be found at the entrance to the S’pore Discovery Centre. More than a static display of the SCDF’s capabilities, it features activity stations where kids and families can learn about emergency preparedness through hands-on experiences.

The Tremorlator (we love the name) is a truck fitted out to educate the public on what to do in the event of an earthquake. Climb aboard to learn the eight steps in case of tremors and put that knowledge to the test in an earthquake simulator.
