The Nickelodeon Slime Cup, a first in Singapore and South East Asia, was launched at D’Marquee at Downtown East on 20 July 2013.
This two-day event on 20 and 21 July features sports-oriented game booths for the whole family where participants can win Nickelodeon prizes.
A friendly 5-a-side futsal competition will see 10 teams playing for the inaugural Nickelodean Slime Cup trophy.
Carrying on the sports-theme, free football clinics will be conducted in collaboration with the Fandi Ahmad Academy. The Urban Street Freestyle Team will also be showing-off their football tricks.

Of course, no Nickelodeon event would be complete without the chance for visitors to meet-and-greet their favourite characters such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles who will be making appearances at various times throughout the day.
Sharing his thoughts on the inaugural Nickelodeon Slime Cup, Mr Tan Chee Kiat, Chief Operating Officer, Viacom International Media Networks Asia, said, “Nickelodeon’s long-standing commitment to Singapore and the region has always been to encourage kids and their families to have fun while keeping a healthy lifestyle, essentially to ‘get and out and play!’. Even though we are a media business, we firmly believe that life’s lessons are not learnt from iPads or TV alone. In this sense, we completely share the Singapore Government’s vision of promoting sports and games to foster strong community relations.”
The Nickelodean Slime Cup takes place on 20 & 21 July 2013, 11.00 am to 7.00 pm at D’Marquee @ Downtown East. Admission is free.
