COURTS To Open Flagship Store At The Heeren In 2022

COURTS Singapore is set to open a flagship store at The Heeren in 2022, taking over the space vacated by the Robinsons department store in December 2020.

The new COURTS store at The Heeren will cover six storeys and span 189,000 square feet. It will be the electrical, IT and furniture chain’s largest retail space in Singapore when it opens in the first quarter of 2022.

According to a press release issued on 14 January 2021, the large format store will introduce “exciting new retail concepts that are bold, fresh and authentic”.

COURTS Singapore is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tokyo Stock Exchange listed Nojima Corporation.

Mr Hoang Duc Thanh Matthew, Group Chief Operating Officer of COURTS Asia Limited and Country CEO of COURTS Singapore, said, “COURTS started out in 1974 in Singapore on Orchard Road and went on to pioneer innovative retail concepts. It is fitting that under Nojima Corporation’s stewardship, we mark a significant milestone on our growth path with a new flagship store along Orchard Road. We are looking forward to expanding our presence in Orchard Road to where it all began and raise the bar further in offering Singaporeans innovative and experiential retail experiences while shopping for electronics and home furnishings.”

 

Adding on, he said, “Despite the business disruption caused by COVID-19, we have seen a strong recovery for our products to date. With our upcoming flagship store, we are excited to do our part for the overall retail sector by bringing back the energy and vibrancy of a delightful customer experience.”
