Choa Chu Kang Swimming Complex might be one of the West’s best kept secrets. This public swimming complex is located in Choa Chu Kang Sports Centre which has pickleball courts, running track, gym, football pitch, eateries and more. Its stadium is also popular for sports meets and inter-school athletics meets. It is also home to SAF Warriors football team of the S-League.
Choa Chu Kang Swimming Complex has a competition pool, wave pool, wading pool, slide and spa pool. That’s five different pools for swimmers and families of varying needs and it just costs less than a dollar to enter (for children and seniors). It is definitely one of the most family-friendly public pools in Singapore.
Do bear in mind that Choa Chu Kang Swimming Complex falls under the category of feature pool. Hence do buy the correct swim pass on the ActiveSG site. The rate for child and senior is 80 cents per entry, while it costs $1.50 for adult entry.

Slides, Playground, Wave Pool & More at Choa Chu Kang Swimming Complex
As a parent, I was surprised to see how family-friendly the swimming complex was.
It had a sheltered toddler-friendly area with a spray tunnel, water spouts and a channel with flowing water with run-offs and puddles. This is perfect for those below 5 or for those less inclined to immerse themselves in the pool
Little ones can also float little items down the water channels to see where they land. A little tap awaits at one end of the channel to activate the water flowing.
There is also a small water fountain that magnifies the play time.
The water playground would be where many children will gravitate towards.
Located next to the spa pool, parents can soak in the jacuzzi while watching their children play.
It has two slides, a water bucket and plenty of fun elements. The slides are strictly for children below 1.2 metres.
A few water towers and spouts are sure to “rain” splashes of delight on the kids and kidults.
A pair of slides for older kids is located further down. These slides are suitable for those above 1.2 metres. Older kids will definitely want to try these slides! No goggles or accessories are allowed for safety reasons.
A short walk away is the wave pool. Big floats are available on a first-come-first-served basis and free of charge to use.
On weekdays, the wave pool is activated every 1.5 hours starting at 10 am while it starts at 9 am hourly on weekends. There is a break between 1 to 2 pm.
