Get into the mood for National Day with a chill remix compilation of the nation’s favourite NDP songs.
NDP Classics Reimagined as Lo-Fi Hip Hop Beats
The special NDP Lo-Fi Hip Hop Beats playlist by NDPeeps features songs such as Where I Belong, Reach Out for the Skies and In a Heartbeat. From more recent years, it includes the 2015 song Our Singapore. It also has classics such as We are Singapore.
And no compilation of National Day songs would be complete without the perennial favourite Home.
All these songs have been reimagined with new, chilled-out grooves that make us want to laze away the day. The arrangements are not the obvious rousing versions of the NDP songs but they are fresh (some might find obscure) and atmospheric interpretations.

It is an easy-to-listen playlist which can serves as chill background music for those working from home, studying or simply staying.
Hang Out with August
The YouTube version of the playlist also features cute animation of August, the mascot of this year’s NDP, on what looks like a Zoom call, working away at his desk. On the wall is a picture of his last visit to the Singapore Art Museum, which must be from some time ago since it is current undergoing renovations. From the view outside his window, it seems that he lives in Bishan.
We also like the details in the animation like the picture of August’s baby on the shelf and the rotating desk fan (which we also have blowing at us IRL as we work at our own WFH desk).
We think that the NDPeeps are pretty on point with the animation and graphics this year. Two thumbs up.
The remix was produced by yams, a Singaporean producer and singer-songwriter.
The NDP Lo-Fi Hip Hop Beats playlist is just under 19 minutes long. It can be listened to on YouTube as well as on Spotify and Apple Music.
We only wished there was an extended version available too!
