Buy a book at a fraction of its original price and contribute to a meaningful cause! Books Beyond Borders is a social business started by Randall Chong who left his job to raise money to support schools and literary projects in Nepal.
Books Beyond Borders has since directed over $27,000 to local organisations working in some of the most underfunded schools in Nepal.
Books Beyond Borders and The Book Barracks
Books Beyond Borders has an online catalogue with book titles in various genres such as Fiction, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Parenting and more. Customers can buy the books online and enjoy free express delivery for four or more books purchased.
They can also visit The Book Barracks, which is their weekend store to browse over 4,000 curated titles directly from their shelves in a quiet and cosy space and enjoy a photo exhibition of the literacy projects Books Beyond Borders is helping to fund in Nepal.

Raising Funds For Students In Nepal
100% of all donations and net profits from books are given to non-profit partners working to improve access to education in poor communities. The funds have empowered the organisations that Books Beyond Borders is partnering with to train qualified teachers, set up school libraries, and distribute much-needed classroom materials, especially during the pandemic when schools are shut.
The social business is currently raising funds to help rebuild Terse Secondary School, a public school serving hundreds of students in Nepal. It was hit by a deadly flood caused by a sudden dam burst. Books Beyond Borders started the campaign earlier in the week and have since surpassed their original goal. Supporters can still contribute to the campaign to make an even bigger difference at the site here.
Donate books to Books Beyond Borders
Another way to support Books Beyond Borders is to donate books that are in good condition. Doners are encouraged to “give only what you will buy”. Those who are interested to donate can find the guidelines at the website here.
