I appreciated how the picture book filled with colourful and accurate representations of the NDP heroes was so effective in highlighting the work behind the scenes.
Little ones can take a closer look at the uniform designs, the various flags, the military vehicles and weapons. Together, the words and little details in the illustrations bring out the heart of NDP – about a huge team coming together to present an amazing event for Singapore.

Older children and adults will appreciate titbits peppered throughout the book, such as our former PM leading a combined schools brass brand in the pouring rain during 1968’s parade.
There are also bears hidden in the pages of the book for the children to search out. Each bear is a mascot for The Singapore Army, Republic of Singapore Navy, Republic of Singapore Air Force and The Digital and Intelligence Service.
I loved the word search and crossword sections that help children learn about NDP through literacy rich activities.
