Land-scarce Singapore always makes full use of every bit of space available. Therefore, it is unsurprising that a mini road safety park has popped up under the MRT train tracks at Ang Mo Kio Avenue.
The Ang Mo Kio Mini Road Safety Park is quite a small affair. It is essentially a figure of eight loop with road markings as well as signboards and features such as a zebra crossing.
While simple, these features make it fun for kids to imagine that they are road users. It is also a great way for them to learn about road safety while having fun.
Parents can bring along their kids bikes or skate scooters for them to act as motorist. If not, kids can also play pretend as pedestrians navigating the roads.
One of the features at the Ang Mo Kio Mini Road Safety Park is a little play-pretend shop structure on one of the traffic islands. It is great for little ones to make-believe that they are making a grocery run to the shops and back.

It is roughly in between the Ren Ci @ Ang Mo Kio nursing home and the Teck Ghee Community Club. Another set of landmarks is Church of Christ the King and the ESSO petrol station on the opposite side of Avenue 8.
The closest car park is the open air car park at Block 405 or 406.
