It has been sometime since Big Splash, also called Playground @ Big Splash, along East Coast Park closed for redevelopment in 2016. A recent video on TikTok has unveiled what is to come at what is to come at that site and gives a sneak peek into what is literally going to be one big playground at Big Splash – Coastal PlayGrove.

TikTok User @Fliznix uploaded stunning aerial footage of the space at the former Big Splash site. It shows that the tower structure has a purple-floored ramp going round and round leading from the ground level up to the top.
Encircled by the spiral ramp, there is an orange-and-red structure with climbing nets at the core of the structure.
This would make it one of the tallest climbing structures in Singapore – it goes up several storey high. There are entryways from the ramps into the play structure.

This amazing playground at the former Big Splash site, or Coastal PlayGrove as it will be called, looks completely amazing and is sure to be awesome fun for kids and even parents.

Spirals of Fun
From the side, it can be seen that there is a green level and yellow level below the red-orange level.
Two metal tube slides lead from the side of the ramp from two different heights back to the ground. The top slide has a loop to slow down the gravity-fuelled descent.
It isn’t clear exactly when the new playground at Big Splash will be opening but NParks did comment on the TikTok post with their NPark TikTok account (we didn’t even know they had one) saying, “Hi @fliznix, beautiful footage of our space at East Coast Park that will be opening soon! Look out for dets on the official opening on our page.”
East Coast Plan
We are sure that there are many parents and families who will be looking forward to the opening of the new playground at Big Splash. This will mean there will a two large playgrounds at East Coast Park, along with nature playgardens and swings.
Of course, there are people who have been mentioning in the comments section of the post by @fliznix that it is all part of the “East Coast Plan”. If it is, we are more than excited about it.
We are sure that there is a plan to regulate the number of people who can enter too. Perhaps there will be a booking system.
