The Singapore Symphony Children’s Choir Experience in September 2025
On 8 or 9 September, experience a “Day in the Life” of an SSCC Chorister and learn the fundamentals of rhythm, solfeggio, and choral techniques in an inclusive and engaging environment. Children aged 8 to 12, including music beginners, are welcome! Participants will get to interact with the choral conductors and friendly SSCC choristers through interactive and educational workshops. The day concludes with a special early evening concert at the iconic Victoria Concert Hall where participants will put up a performance for their families, showcasing what they’ve learnt alongside the choristers of SSCC. Sengkang Swimming Complex
The super fun water slides at Sengkang Sport Centre’s swimming pool is a great reason to visit the Sengkang Swimming Complex. We loved the adrenaline rush at a cost of $0.80 (for kids below 15) and $1.50 (for adults). Fun below $2? Yes it’s definitely possible! The pool area at Sengkang Swimming Complex is divided into four main sections. The left and right sections are where the lap pools are – with one sheltered lap pool and one uncovered. Wan to Play Tropical Drift
For those who are staying in the north of Singapore, want to check out a new indoor playground? Wan to Play Tropical Drift has opened at the Woodlands Civic Centre. Besides the usual play areas, we found a room dedicated to an immersive ‘Floor is Lava’ play experience! Designed with young kids in mind, this version skips the dramatic red ‘lava’ and instead uses blue boxes that players must clear within a set time limit. Amidst the landscaped garden at Parc Glen, there is a large playground that spans across two sand pits. A low rope obstacle course features various challenges for kids. They can climb through rope tunnels, or traverse across single ropes, wooden steps and cargo nets to make their way around the fun play course.
