The Playground in Your Style Competition by Semec x Little Day Out
The Playground in Your Style competition invites children between the ages of 3 to 12 to express their creativity through playground-inspired artwork.
Using the provided outline sheets featuring real playgrounds in Singapore installed by Semec, children can showcase their imagination by colouring them and using the blank space around the playground to creatively express their unique world of play.
As a playground and outdoor fitness equipment specialist since 1984, Semec has helped create many play and fitness spaces across Singapore. Through this competition, Semec hopes to extend the joy of play beyond the playground by encouraging creativity, storytelling, and imaginative expression among children and families.

The competition is designed to be an enjoyable activity for families to participate in together, while celebrating meaningful play experiences and the creativity of young minds within the community.
Categories, Timeline and Prizes
The Playground in Your Style competition has two categories:
- Little Explorers: 2 to 6 years old
- Young Adventurers: 7 to 12 years old
Artwork submitted will be shortlisted and judged according to the following timeline:
- Tuesday, 30 June 2026: Artwork submission deadline
- Early to Mid July 2026: Shortlisted artworks will be uploaded on Semec’s Instagram page and participants’ Instagram accounts will be tagged on the post. Crowd voting of shortlisted artworks (in “Likes”) on Semec’s social media platforms and public engagement will be taken into consideration as part of the judging process.
- Mid-July 2026: Announcement of Winners
The top three winners in each category will receive these prizes:
- Top Prize: Friends of Mandai Premium Annual Pass (Family package, 2 Adults and 1 Child), worth $665
- 1st Runner Up: 3x Sentosa Fun Discovery Pass, worth $270
- 2nd Runner Up: LEGO® Gift Card worth $150

To participate in the competition, follow these steps:
1. Download and print out one of these playground-inspired colouring sheets:
Each colouring sheet is based on a popular, real playground by Semec in Singapore. The background of the colouring sheet is intentionally left open for kids to freely colour, draw and imagine their own unique world around the playground. Only one completed colouring sheet is needed per competition submission, and only one entry per child is permitted.
2. Let your child express his or her creativity by colouring and drawing on the colouring sheet. They can use any medium or materials, such as colouring pencils or crayons. However, the art must be done by your child; AI-generated artwork will not be accepted.
3. Take a picture of the completed artwork and submit it using the form below. Be sure to like and follow Semec on Instagram and Little Day Out on Instagram.
