This year’s National Day Parade will once again see Singapore’s jets and helicopters from the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) take to the skies for the NDP 2022 fighter island flypast and Fly Our Flag segments.
Here’s a look at where you can expect to see them on 9 August 2022.
NDP 2022 Fighter Island Flypast

This year, instead of F-15s, the NDP 2022 Fighter Island Flypast will be done by six F-16C/Ds on National Day. They will do three loops over the island.
The first loop will start off in the west and pass over Bukit Panjang, Buona Vista and Jurong West. The fighter jets will then head to the east and pass over Tampines and Eunos before carrying out the third loop which includes Punggol, Yishun and Woodlands.

The planes will be flying in a delta formation and the NDP 2022 Fighter Island Flypast will likely start about ten minutes before 6 pm.
NDP 2022 Fly Our Flag

The NDP 2022 Fly Our Flag returns once again with two Chinook helicopters, each escorted by a pair of Apache helicopters. Each Chinook will have a state flag slung underneath.
One of the helicopters will go on a western route which will pass by Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang and Jurong. The eastern route will go past Khatib, Sengkang, Punggol, Bedok, Pasir Ris and Changi.
The NDP 2022 Fly Our Flag segment is expected to start at around 5.28 pm and end by 6.18 pm. Take note that all the timings are approximate.
