Two of these storybooks will be released every eight weeks at McDonald’s Singapore. In addition, the book series will be released through McDonald’s Happy Studio app. Families will be able to unlock animations and hidden content through the app.
“As a children’s author and an ambassador of the National Literacy Trust, I love inspiring children to read. Partnering with a huge organisation like McDonald’s, through the Happy Meal Readers Programme, is a great opportunity to get books into so many children’s lives. I couldn’t be happier that McDonald’s are using their scale for good in order to impact so many different children’s lives.” said Cressida Cowell.
McDonald’s Singapore Storytelling Sessions
McDonald’s Singapore’s programme with the National Library Board will also take place from March 2019. This will feature weekly storytelling sessions at selected restaurants islandwide. Ronald McDonald himself will be involved in the storytelling sessions supported by professional storytellers and Junior and Teen Reading Ambassadors.
The storytelling sessions at McDonald’s will kick off on Sunday, 10 March 2019, 2 to 3 pm at Marine Cove McDonald’s with Ronald McDonald’s as the featured storyteller.
Limited seats are available for the storytelling sessions. Families who are interested in the storytelling sessions can visit McDonald’s Happy Meal website to register with the participating stores.
