
Just for August and Singapore’s 61st birthday, Mandai Wildlife Reserve is rolling out a fantastic lineup of family-friendly activities, hands-on workshops, local markets, and animal encounters!
From meeting iconic “Born-in-SG” wildlife stars to letting your furry family members run free at a new dog playground, here is your ultimate guide to celebrating National Day 2026 at Mandai Wildlife Reserve.
Events will be happening at both Mandai Wildlife East and Mandai Wildlife West, with activities at the various wildlife parks.
Wild Day Out 2026: Farmers’ Market & Hands-On Fun

The popular Wild Day Out returns for its 3rd edition with the theme “Going Local”, co-organized with the Kranji Countryside Association (KCA). There will be a local farmers’ market where visitors can browse fresh produce, herbs, and farm-fresh items grown right here in Singapore. Head to the entrance of Bird Paradise to support local farms!
Add some festive flair with paid Singapore-themed face painting or enjoy free Singapore Food Agency colouring activities

Get up close with a roving Chingay truck, try on colorful parade costumes, and join free storytelling sessions for kids aged 12 & under (Storytelling at 11:30 am & 11:45 am, Bird Paradise Learning Centre).
Experience costume try-ons and uncover the stories behind Chingay through exhibits and postcard craft activities.
Dog Playground & Waggie Demo
Bringing your pooch? Check out the new Dog Playground on the West Lawn—spanning two basketball courts with hurdles, ramps, and tunnels! Don’t miss the canine demonstration by Waggie trainers at 4.30 pm.
Free KCA Family Workshops
There will also be free workshops organised by Kranji Countryside Association held at Hall 1 of Bird Paradise Learning Centre. Workshops include Microgreens Experience Workshop, Black Soldier Fly Frass Workshop, Egg-citing & Flightless Bird Discoveries Workshop and Mushroom Growing Workshop.

Across Mandai Wildlife Reserve parks throughout August, celebrate 11 iconic animal personalities born and raised in Singapore, including Ah Meng (Sumatran orangutan), Canola (manatee), Arlo (king penguin), Narnia (binturong), and Bayu (Malayan tapir)!
Pick up a free Stars of Mandai Fan at East/West Guest Services on weekends, frame the animal stars, post photos on social media, and collect an exclusive sticker sheet! (Friends of Mandai members get a free Orangutan charm).
Want to meet the animal mascots? Snap photos with Ah Meng, Canola, Kisala, and Neha on 8, 9, & 10 August at 9.30 am, 10.30 am, and 11.30 am (Singapore Zoo & Bird Paradise entrances)
WILDerful Singaporeans Booth and Trail
Discover the native wildlife of Singapore and learn how we can coexist harmoniously on 8 and 9 August. Flock to the Bulbul & Buddies Discovery Booth for visitors to learn about Singapore’s rich birdlife and how we can protect them.
Uncover our nocturnal neighbours such as the Sunda pangolin and common palm civet and learn how we can protect them at Pangolin & Pals Discovery Booth. Be inspired by the innovative solutions students from the Mandai Action for Wildlife programme have developed to address wildlife issues in Singapore.
Free NDP Watch Party at Mandai Wildlife East
Dress the family in red and white and catch the live broadcast of the National Day Parade in a lush setting! Bring your favorite snacks or grab a meal from Owa Bistro to soak in the national pride.
