We’ve heard Luckin Coffee being called the Starbucks of China but we don’t think that is an accurate description – it feels much more advanced. This coffee chain is popping up all over Singapore and is definitely making its presence felt.

We look more about what’s on the menu at Luckin Coffee and also how to order your coffee for the best experience.

If you haven’t heard of Luckin Coffee, we think it is just a matter of time.

The coffee chain from China which is in now Singapore makes use of technology to deliver a cuppa to you.

Ordering a Beverage at Luckin Coffee

Ordering a Beverage at Luckin Coffee

Ordering a beverage at Luckin Coffee can either be done through the app or by scanning a QR code at the store.

Let us quickly walkthrough the process over the app.

When you open up the app, you will get to the beverage menu.

Select the beverage of your choice from the menu. Once done, you can simply check out.

If you have allowed for the app to make use of your location, the app should be able to detect which outlet you are at. If not, you should be able to select the outlet where you would like to pick up your beverage.

You can then make the payment online to send your order to the store.

When the beverage is ready, a text SMS will be sent to your phone. This is your cue to head over to the counter to pick up your drink.

Scan the QR code

Scan the QR code that can be found on the app at the counter and pick up your drink.

We like this tech driven ordering process as there is no need to queue up to order.

We can place the order before hand and there is no need to hang around while waiting around for call out your name.

Drinks at Luckin Coffee

Okay, enough about the process. Let’s talk about the beverages.

We tried the Coconut Latte, which is one of their signatures, on our first visit to Luckin Coffee.

Never having had coffee with coconut milk before, we didn’t quite know what to expect. However, we were pleasantly surprised. It was nice and creamy. Personally, we found it a tad sweet even though we had chosen the least sweet option.

This encouraged us to give the Iced Coconut Americano a try on our next visit to a Luckin Coffee outlet. Unfortunately, we didn’t quite like this beverage as much.

There are some unusual flavours available at Luckin Coffee. The good news is that are often coupons and offers that can be redeemed, making it easier on the wallet to give them a try.
