With a stroke of a marker, Minister for Education Heng Swee Keat launchedKidsSTOP, the new children’s science centre.

Designed for children between 18 months and eight years old,KidsSTOP consists of 17 play zones that include a Built Environment, Supermarket and Cafe, Flight and Space area, and an Innovation Lab. It was developed with funding support from the Ministry of Education and additional support, totaling $3.5 million, from the Building and Construction Authority, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, LEGO Education and Tote Board.

Mr Heng said, “KidsSTOP complements our efforts in schools to encourage students to explore and experiment, to tinker and build, to discover and apply scientific concepts. By stimulating curiosity and creativity, I hope our children will develop a lifelong love for Science & Technology.”
