Jurong Regional Library is a haven for bookworms, families, teens and those just looking for a place to study and learning in Singapore. A vast collection of books and resources, the library is dedicated to enriching the lives of readers of all ages.

Whether you’re a fan of fiction, a parent looking for early literacy resources, or even to learn a new skill like how to make use of 3D printers, the Jurong Regional Library has something for everyone.

Jurong Regional Library opened on 4 June 2004. Its predecessor, the Jurong East Community library was refurbished and transformed from Jurong Regional Library.

Four Storey Jurong Regional Library

The library has four stories and a basement. This allows it to cater to a wide variety of readers. 


Study Spaces at Jurong Regional Library

One of the reasons why many make their way to Jurong Regional Library is because of the plentiful study spaces on the second and third floor. 

While there are many seats and tables available, they can still end up being occupied. Therefore, there is now a booking system where you can make a booking for a seat at the library.

Most of the fiction and non-fiction books can be found on the second and third floor of the library. 

There is also a Singapore Collection that stocks books about Singapore and by Singapore authors. 

Verging Teens

On the top floor of the library is a teen zone.

In addition to the various books skewed towards teens, there is also a comic collection on this floor.  


Children’s Zone and Early Literacy Library

The Children’s Zone in the basement of Jurong Regional Library is a highlight. There are shelves of books that bring stories to life. Children can immerse themselves in the magical world of literature, where their imagination knows no bounds.

From adventurous tales to educational reads, the library’s collection caters to children of all ages and interests.

Did you also know that the Early Literacy section of Jurong Library was also the first open in Singapore? Now you can find Early Literacy Libraries at various libraries all around Singapore.


MakerSpace

MakerSpace

The Jurong Regional Library is also home to a maker space Make IT at Jurong. This is where patrons can sign up for an introductory course to using machines such as 3D printers, and also spend some time tinkering about to make their creations. 


Pullman Bakery

For those who need to grab a bite, the Pullman Bakery on the first floor offers a place to grab a beverage and some light refreshments. 

Other amenities at the Jurong Regional Library include recycling bins at the exterior of the building’s entrance.
