YEAR-END CAMPS: Give Your Child's Language Skills A Boost With Themed Camps
Inspired by mystery games such as Cluedo and Murdle, the A S.U.R.E. experience runs from October 2026 to March 2027, with a new mission released every few weeks.
Each mission challenges participants to examine illustrated crime-scene displays, weigh the evidence and submit their deductions online.
The first mission was unveiled at Tampines Library last weekend where participants were invited to investigate the disappearance of a rare first edition manuscript from a book shop.
Information Literacy Skills
Through gamification and interactive storytelling, A S.U.R.E. Mystery hopes to bring information literacy skills to the public in a fun and engaging manner.
The detective mystery format naturally mirrors the S.U.R.E. process, in which investigators must question sources, interpret evidence, cross-check information and evaluate what they know before reaching a conclusion.
Roving pop-up activations will be held on selected Saturdays, where NLB staff and volunteers will guide participants and distribute limited-edition collectible bookmarks.
S.U.R.E. Mystery Theatre
A supporting programme series, S.U.R.E. Mystery Theatre, brings each mission to life with non-profit theatre company Zip Zap Zoom Collective.
Actor-facilitators will portray characters and answer questions from audience members, who will vote on which suspect they think is guilty and use evidence to explain their decisions, based on clues given.
Complete Each Mission for Lucky Draw and Other Rewards
Completing each mission also qualifies participants for a lucky draw, with Mission Prizes and the Grand Prize Draw.
Mission Prizes are given to 20 participants at the end of each mission.
Participants get up to four entries into the Grand Prize Draw, based on the number of missions they participated in. Grand Prizes will be given to ten selected winners.
