Visitors to the library can explore location-specific content from the National Library, National Archives of Singapore, and other sources at both Jurong Regional Library and library@harbourfront.

At Jurong Regional Library, visitors can learn about the history of the Jurong area like how it evolved from an industrial area to a bustling hub of activity. Did you know there used to be an old Jurong drive-in cinema?

The showcase at library@harbourfront shows how Harbourfront and Telok Blangah was developed from a maritime hub to a residential, recreational and nature zone. Harbourfront was also home to the former World Trade Centre.

Prefer a personalised trail?

Visitors can customise their personalised trails led by a digital tour guide. This can then be viewed on mobile devices.

Foodies will be pleased to know that Glue: Curiocity will show where to find some of the best eats around Jurong and HarbourFont.

In addition, the mobile prototype of Glue: Curiocity will be available from March 2024. Users can explore Jurong and HarbourFront digitally while on the go.

Glue: Curiocity, NLB’s latest tech prototype, is part of NLB’s LAB25 efforts, and wide ranging experiment to expand boundaries in learning and discovery.

NLB’s Chief Executive Officer Ng Cher Pong said: “Glue: Curiocity marks another milestone in our ongoing journey to reimagine how we can bring more Singapore Stories to life for all to discover. In the spirit of LAB25 (Libraries and Archives Blueprint 2025), we will continue to push ahead with innovations like this. Collaborations with the community and partners inspire us to push on with new ways for everyone to explore, and interact with the rich and varied resources in our collections.”
