FanTEAstic is an online carnival by the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre. It aims to showcase the creative and multicultural aspects of tea culture in Singapore from past to present. Here, visitors to this online carnival can see the importance and significance of tea, its cultural significance and how it has evolved over the years.

The online carnival has four fun sections to explore, each with fun quizzes and games as well as a virtual marketplace that features 20 local tea brands. The first 100 respondents to the onsite survey will be sent a free pack of Spring-harvest Oolong tea.

Did you know that all the different tea types are made from the very same plant – the camellia sinensis? Go on a brew-tea-ful journey as you take in nuggets of information about the world’s second most loved beverage. See how tea is harvested and produced – from farm to cup the various local tea as well as current tea trends like bubble tea.

Try your hand at some of these exciting “activi-teas” and play some fun online games. Test your expertise in local tea knowledge and culture at the “universi-tea”, learnt the benefits of certain teas to better health in the “functionali-tea” game and try the fun quiz that lets you find out your “personali-tea”.

Thirsty for a cup of fragrant tea? Shop from a variety of local tea artisans and makers featuring brands such as Petale that offers beautiful blooming tea, Craft Tea Fox which is selling their Uji Hojicha powder and Kindred Teas who offers tea blends such as Maple Vanilla Green Tea, Pandan & Butterfly Pea Green Tea and Genmaicha Matcha-Iri.

Immerse yourself in the art of tea, tea brewing and tea knowledge with a series of online tutorials including videos that show you how to make your own bubble tea, interviews with Le Vyr, a local kombucha brand and more insightful videos.
