Through the feedback given to the ministers in the East Coast area, residents living at Bedok South are now able to enjoy this brand new mural located next to Block 15 at Bedok South Road.
Drummers’ Delight
Named “Drummers’ Delight”, this staircase mural was painted by Bedok South residents together with artist Kiat from @brilliantcorners.club. There are three parts to this artwork: the two stairs and the top planter.
As one can tell by the name of the art mural, this painting follows the theme of “musical instruments”. The piece is based on the community’s observation of traditional arts often being enjoyed and sighted in the neighbourhood and a playful depiction of traditional drums.
The mural is painted using bright colors and has abstract shapes as well as drawings of drums.
This mural was officially opened by Mr Heng Swee Keat on 24 April 2021.
