The choice of an aviation theme for Don Don Donki Jewel Changi Airport is very apt considering that it is at the airport. Small details such as airplane decorations and aviation themed penguins can be spotted around the store. The outlet also took the opportunity to model their cashier stands and self-checkout stations after real life boarding gates and check-in counters.
Like many of their bigger outlets, Don Don Donki Jewel also offers outlet-exclusive items. This includes various savoury and sweet snacks from Okinawa, and Don Don Donki’s in-house range of premium skincare products, branded as Genecos.
One of the highlights of this outlet is that it is the first in Singapore to retail over 100 types of halal Japanese products. If you ever feel hungry while shopping for your favourite Japanese snacks, the Don Don Donki food hall can be found on the right of the retail outlet. There are seven different food and beverage stalls selling Japanese cuisines that would be sure to satisfy.
Senraku Deli
The newest joint to open in Don Don Donki food halls, Senraku Deli offers customisable bento sets with three choices of mains and a variety of cold and hot side dishes. You can pick from a Senraku Set, 4 Dish Set or 5 Dish Set that ranges from $8.90 to $14.90.
Fried Octopus Ball
Takoyaki balls, which are chopped octopus wrapped in batter and cooked in a round based pan, are freshly made and sold in three different flavours. Ranging from $5.80 to $6.80, you can choose from the original sauce, Taru Taru sauce or Mentai Mayo Cheese to top off your meal.
Wagyukushi
Highly sought-after, the stall sells juicy wagyu beef skewers grilled on the spot upon ordering. You can purchase one skewer for $4.90, and two skewers for $8.90.
Tomita Seimai
The stall sells grilled Isobe mochi and various flavours of onigiri made from rice harvested from Niigata Koshibuki. The rice is freshly polished in-store, ensuring utmost freshness and taste. Prices start from $3.50 onwards.
Sen Sen Sushi
Standing for “fast” and “fresh”, Sen Sen Sushi offers authentic sushi made from various ingredients sourced from around the world. They provide a huge variety of broiled sushi which uses rice of the finest quality in the Koshihikari series, cultivated in Niigata prefecture.
Sake Bar
Adjacent to the sushi bar, the sake Bar offers 40 different types of sake and other various liquor for diners to indulge in. They also offer five different whiskies that are exclusive to the bar.
Furu Furu Parlor
When you are ready to end your meal on a sweet note, be sure to check out the Furu Furu Parlor located in the middle of the whole outlet, facing outwards. Fresh fruit cups, Jellies, Cakes, freshly squeezed fruit juices or even Kakigori – the Japanese equivalent of Ice Kachang can be found at the fruits parlor to-go. Using selected fruits, this stall is exclusive to the Jewel outlet.
