The Dakota One playground gives out rustic vibes with a pair of playgrounds inspired by coconuts and village life. It even has a pair of net hammocks where all can hang out at and relax while swaying away.
Dakota One Playgrounds
Bounded by Cassia Link, Jalan Dua and Guillemard Road, the Dakota One estate is located not far away from the famed Old Airport Road Food Centre.
Close to Mountbatten Community Club, you will be able to find the Dakota One playgrounds – two play spots in the neighbourhood, one for the younger age set and the other for older kids.

Coconut Playground
In between Blocks 88A and 88B, you will find the first of the two Dakota One playgrounds – a coconut playground.
The pair of larger-than-life, green coconuts can be explored by little ones.
A brown ramp with climbing hand and foot holds offers a way in at one end.
A bridge connects the two coconuts, allowing kids to make their way across from one side to the other while building up their confidence navigating the passageway.
At the second coconut, an enclosed slide awaits. Kids can also take the netted tunnel that leads back down below too.
To round off the coconut theming at this Dakota One playground, you can also find a monkey design teeter-totter, along with play panels.
There are also bright orange tubs that rock and sway about. An interesting feature of these tubs is that there is a slot for parents to place their mobile phone so that they can capture a selfie or video of their kids at play.
Village Playground
Hop across to the other side of Block 88B and you will come to a second Dakota One playground.
This one features a hut that is reminiscent of those found in kampongs. Kids can make their way through the hut and scale their way up the tower at the back using the the cargo net behind.
A tall slide provides a fun way for kids to enjoy their dose of carefree “village life”.
Other play elements found here include a pedal game, play rods where they can compete to spin a crank at the bottom, multiple play panels and a four-way tilting maze game.
For those who just wish to hang out, there are also a pair of net hammocks located just beside the multi-storey car park.
More Playgrounds in the Surrounding Neighbourhood
For even more fun, kids and families can make their way to the neighbouring estate, Dakota Breeze. Located across Jalan Satu, Dakota Breeze has a fun playground too – this one is airplane–themed and a nod to the history of the area.
