The Chingay At Heartlands at Marine Parade GRC & Mountbatten SMC takes place on Saturday, 2 March 2024.
The programme will including community volunteers coming together to distribute “Bags of Blossoms” for visitors at the event, fostering multi-racial and multi-cultural harmony.
Each bag will contain seeds of the Blue Pea Plant, commonly used in cuisine across Singapore’s different races.
There will also be a booth at MacPherson Community Club to showcase how residents can grow the flowers and use them in recipes from the four main racial groups to signify unity in diversity.

This is in addition to other highlights like float caravans and roving Chingay performers.
Chingay At Heartlands at Marine Parade GRC & Mountbatten SMC Caravan Route
One of the highlights Chingay At Heartlands at Marine Parade GRC & Mountbatten SMC will be the floats making their away around the neighbourhood.
The caravan route will start at 4 pm at the Braddell Heights Community Hub along Serangoon Central.
It will then make its way to MacPherson,
Mountbatten,
Geylang Serai,
Joo Chiat and
Marine Parade before ending at Kembangan-Chai Chee.
The end point will the open field in front of Block 311 Ubi Avenue 1.
The timing and routes are subject to change.
Chingay At Heartlands at Marine Parade GRC & Mountbatten SMC Activities
There will be on-site engagement activities to involve residents through various engagement booths, performances, and snacks.
These will take place at:
- Hardcourt opposite MacPherson CC
- Pavilion near Blk 38A Pine Lane
- Open field in front of Eunos Interchange
- Marine Parade Road at Blk 44A Marine Crescent Pavilion
Look out for cultural performances including lion dance, zapin dance, bhangra dance and branyo dance, snack stations and art booths.
The activities will take place from 4 pm till 10 pm.
