Children’s Festival at Gardens by the Bay 2024 returns this June school holidays for its 10th edition with a highly anticipated collaboration, featuring Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2-themed outdoor carnival. Children will learn more about their emotions through play at the Gardens by the Bay Children’s Festival where most activities will be free-of-charge.
Children’s Festival at Gardens by the Bay 2024: Inside Out at the Supertree Grove
Running from 25 May to 22 June during the June school holidays, this year’s Children’s Festival is held in conjunction with the month-long National Family Festival and inspired by Inside Out 2 characters, encouraging children and their families to embark on a journey of self-discovery.
Families can look forward to an array of installations of activities inspired by the core and new emotions of Inside Out 2.
Singapore’s Inside Out 2-themed outdoor carnival is the only one in Southeast Asia with large-scale installations. Children can learn about their feelings through play at the various interactive areas inspired by Inside Out 2 characters, such as Joy, Anger, Sadness, Fear and Disgust – alongside new Emotions Anxiety, Envy, Ennui and Embarrassment!

Highlights at Children’s Festival 2024: Large Inside Out 2 Installations
The centrepiece installation at the Children’s Festival at Gardens by the Bay is inspired by the Long Term Memory storage facility that houses millions of Riley’s memories.
The scene is brought to life with colourful, illuminated Memory Orbs at Supertree Grove and visitors can create their own Memory Orb by scanning a QR code at the installation and completing three simply steps.
The Memory Orb will then be projected alongside others on the animated wall.
Sit on the swings at the “Mood Swings” installation where the emotion Joy takes centre stage. Who doesn’t like swings?
This installation themed after Sadness and Embarrassment is about coping with complex emotions. Children can “paint” with a water brush and watch doodles installations appear before their eyes.
Keep your cool at this tricky installation inspired by Fear and Anxiety. Try to complete the mirror maze and gigantic buzz wire nerve-wrecking challenges
Inspired by Ennui, the Fort Pillowtown installation lets you lie back and relax or let imaginations run wild within the cosy pillow fortresses that can be built.
Experience a whirlwind of emotions through an evocative journey at this play area of large inflatable balls. The balls symbolise the embracing and balancing all of our emotions.
The Medley of Emotions Light Show
Visitors to the Children’s Festival can also forward to a special edition of the nightly Garden Rhapsody light and sound show titled The Medley of Emotions.
In addition to the lights on the Supertrees, the Memory Orbs within the Kaleidoscope of Memories installation will also synchronise their illumination and change colours in harmony with the Inside Out soundtrack.
Garden Rhapsody plays at 7.45 pm and 8.45 pm every evening.
