Canberra Vista Playground: Roller Slides on the Slopes

The most striking of the multiple Canberra Vista playgrounds can be found hidden behind Block 378 where the preschool is located.

This green coloured playground is built into the sloping terrain.

Here, kids can make their way up a series of stepping stones, with the help of climbing ropes, to reach the top of the slope.

roller slides

The main attraction at the top is the chance to take one of two roller slides for a fast ride back down to the bottom of the hill. It is slippery for sure! These roller slides are similar to those found at Admiralty Park and offer a fun way to get back down.

There is also a basket swing for those who just wish to hang out at the top of the slope.

obstacles that stretch from the top of the hill

Another fun way to get back down to the base of the slope is to go through the obstacles that stretch from the top of the hill and end in a slide at the bottom.

This fun Canberra Vista playground also reminds use of the playground built into the slope at Toa Payoh Crest – another fun play spot for kids.

Younger kids can also head to the small sheltered Canberra Vista playground in front of Block 378.

We do wish that the tarp providing the shelter above the playground was larger though.

More Canberra Vista Playgrounds for Younger Kids

Young ones actually have more choice when it comes to playgrounds at Canberra Vista.

There is a small playground with a basket swing inbetween Blocks 380C and 379A.

Yet another playground for the younger age group can be found at Block 376.

Tower Playground

Tower Playground (Currently Closed)

Another Canberra Vista playground, this one for the older kids, can be found between Blocks 377A and 377B.

The main feature here is a tower playground. However, it was closed for safety updates when we visited it in April 2026. Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to revisit this playground on our most recent visit in August 2026. Nonetheless, parents, do remind your older kids to make proper use of the playground equipment for their own safety!

tub merry-go-round

However, there is still a tub merry-go-round here. And if you look closely, you will discover that there is a place for parents to place their mobile phone so that they can shoot a selfie video of their kids enjoying the ride.

Canberra Vista Nature Play Garden

Canberra Vista Nature Playgarden

Another fun spot at Canberra Vista is located just beside the Canberra MRT Station. This is a Nature Playgarden, where where kids and families can enjoy a dose of nature and play in the neighbourhood.

Log Trail at Canberra Vista

Here, kids can make explore a Log Trail or balance their way across Crossing Logs in front of a Rain Garden.

Forest Swing

There is also a Forest Swing, located just beside a little elevated pavilion.

Canberra Vista Nature Play Garden is an interactive water feature

One of the unique features at the Canberra Vista Nature Play Garden is an interactive water feature.

This water feature makes use of harvested rainwater from Block 379C for play and learning.

Press the start button at the top of the water feature and watch the water flow down the channel. There is a water gate that can be used to control the flow of water. Eventually, it makes its way down to the water wheel and kids can watch it spin.
