What is a Water Bike

The water bike is a real bike with a lightweight frame that is mounted on two floats. The catamaran configuration of the waterbike is almost impossible to capsize. This means that the waterbike is more stable than a traditional bike, making it easy and safe to ride. It also means that riders need not have to know how to swim. This large structure can still bring some thrill and speed as it can go at an impressive speed of 15 km/h on water.

Water Bike SG has three options for those who wish to experience riding on a waterbike. The first way is to rent a waterbike. The waterbikes are available for rent every Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm at Campsite 1 in Pasir Ris Park. Riders can rent up to 5 waterbikes for one to three hours at a time.

When renting, participants will be provided with a life-jacket, storage dry bag and walkie talkie. Kids under 140cm in height are not suited to rent a waterbike.

There is also the option to buy a waterbike. Despite the large frame, the bike is relatively easy to assemble, disassemble and transport in a car boot without causing excessive clutter. The bike can be assembled on-site when it is ready to be used. For those who enjoy waterbiking and want the convenience of being able to ride it whenever they wish can consider purchasing one. Water Bike SG offers a waterbike package on their site here.
