There are staycations that make you feel like you have escaped the city, and then there is Village Hotel Sentosa, which makes you forget you are even in Singapore at all.

Perched on the breezy slopes of Palawan Ridge, Village Hotel Sentosa is built with families and young children in mind, making life easier and more enjoyable for everyone.

Village Hotel Sentosa: A Staycation At a Village that Feels like a Playground
Travelling with little ones is always a mix of fun and chaos, but the hotel really takes the stress out of it. From the moment we arrived, with the bean happily clutching a mini Cornetto cone at reception, we knew this was going to be a holiday everyone could enjoy.
The bean was also thrilled to receive a welcome pack upon check-in, filled with thoughtful goodies: a handy beach bag, delicious macarons, adorable crab mascot plushies, and a coloring kit that kept little hands happily busy while we unpacked and settled in.

Families will appreciate the little conveniences that make a big difference like the filtered drinking water tap right in the room, which was perfect for quick refills without hunting for bottles. Guests may also conveniently help themselves to coffee and tea sachets, as well as ice water, from dispensers located near the lift lobby.
And for a charming local touch, Village Hotel Sentosa adds a dash of nostalgia with its iconic ‘Good Morning’ cups, a thoughtful nod to Singapore’s heritage that makes your morning cuppa feel just a bit more special.
Pools, Play, and Plenty to Explore
If you’re the type who likes options — beach or pool, sun or shade, adventure or nap — this spot is your kind of chaos.
Village Hotel Sentosa houses four different pools, each with its own vibe. Let the little ones splash away at the Children’s Play Pool, where splash pads and mini fountains promise endless fun.
The Pamukkale Pool, a cascading infinity pool overlooking the South China Sea, is an ideal spot to unwind with a drink from Pool Bar, while the Adventure Pool offers a refreshing swim with scenic surroundings. There is also a Lazy River Pool, which is currently undergoing renovation until 21 November 2025.
Beyond the pools, we found plenty to keep ourselves entertained around Village Hotel Sentosa. Just a short stroll away, Palawan Beach was the perfect place for us to chill, with soft sand for building castles and calm waves for the bean to splash around safely.
For something a bit different, we checked out HyperDrive, a go-kart experience that blends real racing with virtual elements like electric karts, winding tracks, and augmented reality effects.
The bean’s favorite was undisputedly KidZania Singapore, where he got to take on different jobs for a day, running around as a firefighter, pilot, delivery guy, and much more.
Family-Friendly Dining Made Easy at Native Kitchen
Native Kitchen, the hotel’s casual all-day dining spot, makes mealtimes with kids simple and stress-free without stepping outside the hotel. Breakfast offers a wide selection, from local favourites like kaya toast and nasi lemak to Western classics such as hash browns, made to order omelettes, and pastries.
The bean could not get enough of the waffle station where he got to choose his favorite toppings.
Lunch and dinner continue the same family-friendly approach, with dishes that cater to both adults and little ones. Comforting local flavours like chicken rice and laksa sit alongside Western staples such as steaks, pizzas, and pasta, so everyone at the table can find something they love. The staff were attentive, offering extra plates, and even small touches to keep the little one entertained while we ate.
Movie Night
Come nightfall, Palawan Kidz City Roof Garden transforms into an open-air cinema, a special treat available only on weekends. Beach chairs are set up on the grass, so kids can lounge comfortably while munching on snacks, and parents can kick back and enjoy the movie.
The gentle sea breeze adds to the relaxed, holiday vibe, making it the perfect way to wind down after a busy day of beach time, pools, and island adventures.
Village Hotel Sentosa: A True Home Away from Home for Families
Village Hotel Sentosa strikes the perfect balance, lively enough to keep the kids entertained yet calm enough for parents to actually relax. More than just a staycation, it offers a slice of island life just across the bridge, polished but never pretentious, playful but never chaotic.
Every detail feels thoughtfully designed for families, and there is a genuine warmth here — a true “village spirit” — that makes both kids and adults feel at home.
It really lives up to the saying, “it takes a village to raise a child,” providing a space where little ones can explore, play, and learn while parents are supported and cared for, making family travel feel effortless and enjoyable.
