What made the experience even more special for the kids was that they got their own dedicated kids check-in counter.

They felt especially important as they went about filling up their own registration cards, guided along by friendly Kids Ambassadors.

Along with a welcome letter and a set of specially-designed wooden keycards, our family also received a Hilton Singapore Orchard Junior Explorer Drawstring Bag for each child. This was filled with fun little things to keep kids occupied.

Inside the bag

These included an origami set and a plush toy created from upcycled hotel staff uniforms by Kloth, a female-led social enterprise aimed at supporting women from impoverished and vulnerable communities.

Especially fitting to the hotel’s location was a kids activity book designed around the theme of “Discover the Marvels of Orchard Road”.

Confirmed Connecting Rooms

Confirmed Connecting Rooms

One of the worries that can come about when travelling as a family is that if you have to get two rooms, there is a niggling concern that the rooms will be far away from each other or, gasp, on different floors.

Recognising this need, Hilton Singapore Orchard now offers a service known as Confirmed Connecting Rooms.

This service allows families to book and get immediate confirmation a set of connecting rooms. It takes away the stress and guesswork involved in booking multiple rooms as a family.

During our recent stay at Hilton Singapore Orchard, we were able to experience these connecting rooms.

Hilton Singapore Orchard’s Rooms

The rooms are extremely comfortable to say the least.

We had a king bed in one of the rooms and a set of twin beds in the other. Even with the king-sized bed, the room still felt spacious. With the connecting door, you can expect the kids to shuttle back and forth between the two rooms.

To make the kids feel especially at home, there was a thoughtfully prepared set of kids’ bathrobe, slippers, and toiletries in the room. It was a great way for even the youngest guests to feel pampered during their stay.

We also appreciated the hotel’s green efforts, for example by minimising single-use water bottles and bathroom amenities, to reducing its environmental footprint.

Kid-Friendly Dining Experiences

Kid-Friendly Dining Experiences

There are different dining options within Hilton Singapore Orchard. You can choose to pamper yourself with a meal at the restaurants Estate, Ginger.Lily, and Osteria Mozza.

Estate was our breakfast venue and the kids loved it. There was a dedicated kids’ corner where they could help themselves to whatever they fancied.

We also had the opportunity to enjoy the Grand Sunday Champagne Brunch. It was a treat with a lavish spread of delicious dishes.

There are also complimentary activities for kids including canvas painting and board games. To add to the enchantment, we were even entertained by a magician during our mealtime.

Memories beyond the Stay

Memories beyond the Stay

When it came time to say goodbye, the kids had the opportunity to doodle their memories of the experience on a customised postcard. They could choose to send their postcards anywhere using the hotel’s complimentary mailing service at the concierge.

This was a thoughtful gesture and a nice touch for the kids to capture their memories of a wonderful stay.

If you are looking for a short getaway with the family, Hilton Singapore Orchard could well be your go-to destination for creating treasured memories with your loved ones.
