It’s October! We’re into the last quarter of an extraordinary year! As we enter the first weekend of the quarter, here are a selection of things to do this weekend in Singapore on 3 and 4 October 2020.
Things To Do This Weekend In Singapore: 3 & 4 October 2020
1. Mid-Autumn Festival Events
It is the last weekend of the Mid-Autumn light-up at Gardens by the Bay. Pay a visit to enjoy the lantern sets around the outdoor gardens. There are also Mid-Autumn Festival photo spots at Jewel Changi Airport where you can snap a memory with the family.
2. Little India Light Up
It is not only the Mid-Autumn Festival which has the lights shining. The Deepavali Light Up at Little India also takes place this weekend on Saturday evening. Enjoy the lights along Serangoon Road as Little India gears up for the Festival of Lights.
3. Hampstead Wetland Park
Want to go on an easy exploration of a new nature spot? Try the compact Hampstead Wetland Park in Seletar. You can have a meal at The Oval, or play at the airplane playground, and then head over for a stroll at the park. Other places to explore nearby include the Seok Seng 1954 Bicycle Café and Rower’s Bay next to Yishun Dam.
4. Tower of Power Tribute
How many of the towers in our compilation of look out points have you visited? If you haven’t visited yet, we suggest Marsiling Park. It has an easy-to-climb lookout tower, playgrounds and nice atmospheric spots. For those staying in the West of Singapore, Yunnan Gardens is worth checking out too.
5. Virtual Scavenger Hunt at British Museum
Want to stay in? How about taking a virtual trip to the other side of the globe and pay a visit to the British Museum? We’ve come up with a free, downloadable activity sheet. Print it out and explore the museum to find the various artefacts. Get it here.
6. Book a Staycation Ahead for the Holidays
It may be exam season at the moment but what comes after? The holidays! Avoid the last-minute rush to book a staycation by planning ahead. Check out some staycation deals for the year-end holidays here.
