Spanning seven hectares, Rainforest Wild Adventure East is inspired by Afro-tropical and Madagascan landscapes.

The various themed areas within Rainforest Wild Adventure East include Riverine Forest, Red Ravine, Lemur Land and Hidden Forest.

There are five Forest Treks that visitors can enjoy. These include Otter Trek (65 metres), Horn & Hoof Trek (65 metres), Misty Trek (70 metres), Split Rock Trek (140 metres) and Okapi Trek (260 metres).

Families can look out for three play areas within Rainforest Wild Adventure East.

One of the most exciting animals that visitors can look forward to is the okapi – an endangered species from the dense forests of the Congo in Central Africa.

The okapi is making its Southeast Asia debut at Rainforest Wild Adventure East and it is the only one of its kind in any zoological park in Southeast Asia.

With a deep brown coat and striking zebra-striped legs, the okapi looks like a creature dreamed up from different animals, yet it is the giraffe’s closest living relative.

A fun fact is that the okapi remained unknown to Western science until 1901, largely because it lives quietly in thick rainforest cover, earning it a long-standing reputation as one of nature’s most elusive large mammals.

Rainforest Wild Adventure is home to four okapis, comprising two pairs that arrived from zoos in Europe.

Other animals that visitors to Rainforest Wild Adventure may encounter include species such as pygmy hippo, eastern bongo, red river hog and Nile lechwe.

There will also be a multi-species habitat that brings together the wonders of Madagascar, including lemurs, turacos, and ibises.

Animal activity and visibility vary across the park, reflecting the rhythms of a naturalistic environment.

In Rainforest Wild Adventure East, visitors can choose to glide among the tree canopy on the Canopy Glider or soar eight metres above ground on the Ravine Swing.

Split Rock Summit features an 11-metre-high pinnacle for sweeping views, or visitors can scale a strangler fig on Primate Climb for an elevated vantage point of Diana monkeys in their habitats.

Another Adventure+ activity is the Treetop Traverse – a 125-metre harnessed course through the treetops.
