When you mention Thai Supermarket, many people would think of the establishment that was formerly at Golden Mile Complex. The Thai grocery store has recently soft launched at Aperia Mall, stocking authentic Thai products that it has become known for.
The Golden Mile Thai Supermarket has been around since 1985. Most notably, it is known as a place to shop for affordable goods and products from Thailand.
However, as Golden Mile Complex was being closed, after almost 40 years of business at the Beach Road, Thai Supermarket has had to move to a new location. This new location is just a couple of kilometres away at Aperia Mall.
Golden Mile Thai Supermarket Now at Aperia Mall
The new Golden Mile Thai Supermarket occupies a space on the ground floor of Aperia Mall, just under the escalators and prominently in front of the mall’s atrium.
The new store at Aperia Mall looks a far cry from the old one at Golden Mile Complex.
It is brightly and cheerily lit and has a modern, wide entrance that welcomes shoppers.
A tuk tuk adds a bit of Thai charm to the entrance.
Inside, the aisles are still rather narrow but that’s probably because the the shelves are packed with goodies, sauces, condiments and ingredients.
What You Can Find at Thai Supermarket

Row 1 & 7 – Instant Noodles (these lead to one another)
Row 3 & 4 – Snacks (the all-important section!)

There is also a fresh food section with vegetables and fruit at the rear of Thai Supermarket.
As you head past the cashier and check-out area, there are also some small shops offering services like hairdressing.
Thai Supermarket will anchor some vendors. These include vendors offering Yaowarat-style buns, Thai banana fritters and sweet potato balls. There is also the option to have a meal with staples like Boat Noodles and Pad Thai.
